Week 25!

Hi everyone! Sorry it has been so long since we posted last. Things are going well and we are moving right along (as you can see in the photos!). Jeff and I went to the Dr. today for a quick check up. Everything looks good. Her heartbeat is 138 and the doctor said she is measuring "perfect." I will return December 23rd for my glucose tolerance test which will tell if we need to be concerned about gestational diabetes. (I am not looking forward to drinking the yucky stuff.)
For those of you who don't know, our insurance isn't wanting to cover our first ultrasound. We spoke with Dr. Scott about it since when it was done, I was under the care of another Dr. (who has since left the practice) .She thinks it is "stupid" that they are not willing to cover it and shared that she is more than willing to speak with the insurance company at length about the necessity of it. The doctors office will act on our behalf and write a letter of appeal so we will see what happens. We are just grateful that they are indeed working on this on our behalf.
We will head to Georgia for Thanksgiving on Wednesday. Jeff and I are so excited that we packed last night and are, for the most part, ready to jump on that plane and go! We are very much looking forward to seeing Mom and Dad Klein, Amy and Jeff, and Renee--and her man, Spencer. (OK and Chloe and Izzy--Amy and Renee's dogs too!)
Hope that you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving. We have a lot to be thankful for this year including all of you! Take care and will write again soon!
Love, Amber, Jeff, and Lauren

Clothes and more!

It has been so much fun to get ready for our little girl. It is overwhelming to figure out what all we need but I do know she needs clothes! So, I thought I would share a few things that we have gotten so far!
Jeff and I did began the registering process and oh, is it a task. Of course Babies R Us suggests you have every piece of "baby gear" ever invented, (bassinet, bouncer, swing, play yard, saucer, jumper, etc...) so it is hard to sort through what would be nice to have and what is completely unnecessary. We are making decisions but I am sure it will be a while before we have that task complete.
We chose the baby's furniture and plan to order it soon! The closet in the Nursery is now all Lauren's but Mommy is still working on some projects in the room. I am trying to get pictures in albums before she arrives because I know the time will simply not be there nor would I want to take that time away from her. I am making progress...boy would it be nice just to have a week that I could take off where all I did was get that done!
Jeff loves being a daddy already. He loves to feel her kick and move around in my belly. Sometimes he is surprised/startled at how hard she kicks that he literally jumps. :) I have had a great pregnancy so far and pray that it will stay that way for the next 18 weeks!
I am looking for a guestbook to add to the blog but haven't found one yet. (I warned you that I was not that Internet savvy at the beginning!) Feel free to leave comments at the bottom of each post if you like. Will post again soon! Love, Amber, Jeff, and Lauren
