Lauren's Indy Shower

When my friends Michelle and Cathy found out I was pregnant they both wanted to throw me a shower so they combined efforts and threw an awesome shower. We had so much fun. We played Baby Taboo, "How well do you know Amber?", and everyone made a onesie for Lauren. They had adorable favors, chocolate bars for everyone, and Cathy made an adorable diaper cake that many adored! Here are a few pictures that highlight what a great time we had...

Lauren's Nursery

Here are the pictures of the nursery so far. We have it mostly done, we just need to get a few more necessities and we are good to go! In case it is hard to tell on the first picture, the theme of her nursery is ladybugs and flowers. I am sure our little ladybug will be just adorable in her room!

34 Weeks!

Here we are at 34 weeks! Momma is feeling pretty large but not very in charge! We had a good appointment on Monday. She said that we continue to measure well, the heart rate is good, and everything appears aok! I did experience a little bit of false labor last week. I had contractions that were 6 minutes apart for about an hour. I was a good little girl---scratch that---I was a good girl and laid on my left side and drank as much water as I could possibly get down and the contractions settled down. They moved to every 15 minutes and then became sparatic. We mentioned this to Dr. Scott and she was not concerned so we aren't either. Just anxious to meet her! Week 31!

Week 31...Can you believe it? 63 days left until Lauren is due!


I have started seeing the doctor every 2 weeks now. I will see another doctor in the practice tomorrow, Dr. Mims, incase I go into labor when my doctor is not available or on call. Last appointment I had my glucose test(Dec 23rd). They said if my numbers were too high, they would let me know and would schedule a 3 hour test. No news is good news. I never did hear from them so my assumption is everything is fine!
Jeff and I have 3 classes under our belt now. Childbirth prep, Breastfeeding, and Newborn Basics. We have 1 more to go...Infant CPR and First Aid.
We are looking forward to the coming weeks! Hope all is well with all of our friends and family. Take care!

Jeff and I decided we wanted to document our pregnancy with professional photos. We used a photographer named Josh who owns Sunlit Images in Indianapolis.
